6’1 PG Mastadi Pitt is coming off a dominant junior season where he averaged 19 PPG, 5 RPG, and 3 APG. He had thirteen games where he scored 20+ points and four 30+ point games. He’s got the pit bull body type as a stocky guard and his strength is typically too much for opposing guards. He’s got explosiveness and speed and is able to get into the paint at will. Pitt has been known for his strong finishing ability but is now adding a consistent jump shot from 3-point range. He gets good elevation on his jumper and knocked down one big shot after another this season. He’s starting to put it all together and he’s such an offensive threat that he draws help and then is able to find his teammates for open looks. He’s a very under-rated facilitator but we’re sure he’ll show that off this spring and summer as he’ll have weapons all around him.
Mastadi currently holds offers from Howard, UCF, Cincinnati, Longwood, James Madison, and Norfolk State. Now that high school ball is over he’ll be running with the 17U Team Loaded VA team on the Adidas Gauntlet series. His continued improvement should have several division 1 programs chasing after him this year. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you up to date with more highlights and recruiting news!
