Brandon Robinson is coming off a great summer, having led the Georgia Stars to a Peach Jam Championship and then leading Team Loaded NC to the Adidas Super 64 Showcase game on ESPN. Robinson is a sharp shooter and he will make defenders pay for every late rotation. Opposing coaches have to really pick their poison with him on the floor because if you help off, he could hit several three’s in a row and change the whole game in a matter of minutes. This consistent scoring got the college coaches calling but after carefully evaluating all of his option, Robinson will be taking his talents to Roy Williams at UNC.
Robinson had this to say on why he chose to attend North Carolina, “Just the basketball culture there and its one of the best programs out there. They produce pros and they have a hall of fame of coach in Roy Williams and they have a person on there staff in coach Hubert Davis who has played my position in the league and at UNC”. Brandon has already built a great relationship with both coaches. Hubert Davis was in the gym to check Brandon out the day after he committed, “He is a great guy, he always tells me how excited he is for me to come to UNC and he believes that I can help them out a lot.” He already loves Roy Williams too, “Roy is the same, he is a great guy who believes that I am not done growing as a player and he can help me reach my dreams and goals. Roy has told me he needs me there and wants me there with his team.” The dreams and goals that Brandon has in mind while at UNC is this, “just learn more about the game, continue to increase my knowledge of the game and learn different things about the next level, and last but not least is to win a national championship”. Brandon obviously has some business to take care of before he is off to Chapel Hill, this senior year he wants to “win player of the year in my region, win the region championship and win a state championship.”
