Malik Johnson has finished up an outstanding junior year as he won a state championship, was named state player of the year, and also led Team Loaded VA to a championship win at the Adidas Super 64 on ESPNU. Malik is only 5-9 but makes up for his lack of height with his heart and his passion for the game. He was among the most pesty and disruptive defensive players in the Adidas Uprising circuit this summer. He brings energy and intensity in every game he plays and his teammates follow his lead. He’s the floor general and a warrior which is why he was able to win the state championship at Blue Ridge. Malik has committed to the Canisius Golden Griffins so he will be solely focused on his senior season with recruitment out of the way. We’ll be keeping you posted as Johnson leads Blue Ridge to what they hope will be back to back state championships.
